Panoramic ATLAS John goes to CERN (July 2007) |

Matt (below, right) did a "Jim'll Fix It" for me (below, left) and got us a trip down the pit into the ATLAS cavern at CERN. To see the full panoramic stitched together pictures I took click on the big thumbnails above. These were created using Autostitch and Paint Shop Pro. To find out more about ATLAS see its public webpage (or its Wikipedia page for a good overview). For some much better panoramas than mine, look at the Quicktime VRs here. They give a great sense of scale (and the cavern wasn't as full in them). |
