- A "remix" of the starting music of Batman: The Movie on the Amiga.
n o r b a t i o u s - the man, the myth...
Currently studying music at an undisclosed college, Chris "Messiah" Norby started his musical mastery at
a very early age after seeing The Final Countdown on a local television station. Inspired by the
amazing use of synthesizers, the young Messiah looked up from the tv and proclaimed that one day he would
be "even bigger than Europe". Whether he was refering to the band or the continent is still a matter
for debate among scolars.
Some would say that the greatest inspiration in the Messiah's life is that of the German
great, Hans Zimmer. Chris is often known to listen to Zimmer's totally contrasting soundtracks to
The Rock and Crimson Tide, pausing from time to time to remark at how amazing it is that
one man can write two so totally different scores.
In more recent times Chris has made it his personal mission to only use "quality Yamaha"
hardware, so much so in fact that during a recent ad campaign for the Japanese company, he was filmed saying the phrase:
"Yamaha - they're all I use."
In his spare time the Messiah like nothing better than to put his feet up and watch any film
produced by "the Gods" Jerry Bruckheimer and Don Simpson. On one occasion when asked what he thought of director
Tim Burton, he lashed out at the reporter, breaking the microphone in two, and allegedly screaming expletives
at a passer by who happened to be wearing a Batman T-shirt.
Chris can frequently be seen in some of his hometown's more upmarket public houses, usually wearing a T-shirt
with the words "Elfman - Death is too good for this man".
